Abstract
We present a novel 3D circular reconstruction method that uses a conical mirror to project the fringe patterns. The proposed approach is based on the principle of uni-axial projection method which defines the relationship between the phase information in the DFP system and the 3D geometry of the 360-degree view of the environment. Furthermore, the proposed method is capable of producing accurate 3D geometry of the environment without using the conventional method projector calibration method, which is suitable in scanning unstructured environments such as inside tunnels and bridges.
