S. R. Seshadri JOSA Publications Grants

A generous member, S. R. Seshadri, established a fund for The Optical Society to provide assistance with mandatory publication charges to qualified JOSA A or JOSA B authors. The grants may be applied to mandatory overlength page charges and color charges. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis until the annual allotment is depleted. Individuals will be considered for a grant if they can demonstrate a financial need by meeting one or more of the following criteria:

• A first-time author
• A senior retiree
• A scientist working in a developing country
