M. Redon, C. Gastaud, and M. Fourrier, "Far-infrared laser lines in vinyl fluoride optically pumped by a CO2 laser near 10 μm," Opt. Lett. 9, 71-72 (1984)
Sixty-two new emission lines in the far infrared have been observed in vinyl fluoride optically pumped in a metallic-waveguide resonator by a CO2 laser. The emission spectrum for this molecule now covers the 2.52-mm–142-μm wavelength range.

The lines labeled H, S, or 10 belong to the hot 0111–1110, sequential 00°2–10°1, and normal 00°1–10°0 bands, respectively.
S, strong (>1 mW); M, medium (0.1–1 mW); W, weak (<0.1 mW).
For these lines the power is maximum for a cavity length of 1.2 m, but output was also observed with a cavity length of 1.8 m.
Observed only with a cavity length of 1.8 m.
Observed only with a cavity length of 1.2 m.
