Abstract

A design of a XeF-pumped second Stokes amplifier using H2 is presented. It is based on our previously published computer model [J. H. Newton and G. M. Schindler, Opt. Lett. 6, 125 (1981)], which describes all resonant parametric and Raman processes involving frequencies up to fifth-order Stokes waves in a multiple-Raman-shifting amplifier using H2 Design choices were based on optimizing performance for expected intensity fluctuations. of an e-beam-pumped XeF driver.
