Holographic image subtraction of high-velocity dust using a Pockels cell

Abstract

Holographic subtraction is accomplished on a single plate by using a Pockels cell external to the laser cavity. It is demonstrated that the electro-optic effect may be used to enhance contrast by subtraction on a microscopic scale and at exposure intervals of the order of microseconds.
