High-resolution rainbow holographic process

Abstract

A technique of high-resolution one-step rainbow holography utilizing a cylindrical lens is presented. Experimental demonstrations for various holographic conditions are provided. With the experimental results, we see that the technique utilizing a cylindrical lens offers a higher hologram-image resolution, less speckle noise, and lower color-blur effect than the conventional one-step technique. The technique is particularly suitable for the application of a 2-D object transparency.
