Streaking of a light beam by an electro-optically induced traveling lens

Abstract

Experiments demonstrating traveling-wave electro-optic beam deflection with ~1-nsec time resolution are described. The deflector exploits the focusing interaction between a light beam and a voltage pulse propagating in a strip transmission line filled with KD*P.
