Abstract

Submillimeter-wave laser action is reported for the first time in fully deuterated methyl fluoride. Twelve new laser lines were obtained by optical pumping with twelve CO2 laser lines in the 9- and 10-μm regions. Milliwatt-level cw lasing was observed on two lines in an unoptimized hole-coupled waveguide resonator.
