Abstract

Waveguide laser operation on the 351- and 353-nm transitions of the XeF rare-gas halide molecule has been demonstrated using a fast Blumlein circuit that operated at 2–20 Hz. Laser energy densities of ~8 mJ/liter have been observed from a 62.5-μl volume of flowing NF3:Xe:He (1:4:150) gas mixture.
