Abstract
Efficient room-temperature operation of a diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser is demonstrated for the quasi-three-level transition at 946 nm. Continuous-wave output powers of more than 800 mW cw in single-frequency operation are generated by application of a composite-cavity nonplanar ring laser. High amplitude and frequency stability of the emitted radiation is observed.
