Abstract

Quantum numbers (J values and octahedral symmetry types) of the SF6 transitions from the vibrational ground state to υ3 = 1 that fall near the CO2 P(12) and P(22) laser lines have been assigned. The significance of these assignments for the results of self-induced transparency and photon-echo experiments is discussed briefly.
