Influence of the noise model on correlation filters: peak sharpness and noise robustness

Abstract

We analyze the influence of the noise model on the filter performances by describing the noise robustness and the sharpness of the correlation peak. This analysis is performed by using optimal trade-off filters for these criteria, which provide a rigorous figure of merit.
