Optical quadratic processor using four-wave mixing in BaTiO3

Abstract

A method has been demonstrated for performing quadratic operations by using four-wave mixing in BaTiO3 crystals. The processor performs a parallel vector–matrix–vector multiplication. System operation and performance are discussed.
