Abstract
This paper is devoted to two features that appear when a color television image is viewed. The first feature is associated with color reproduction on the screen. The sources of color distortions in television are indicated, and it is shown that the colors of the chromaticity coordinates that lie inside the screen’s color-gamut triangle depend on the TV screen. The second feature consists of the appearance of color distortions caused by the external illumination source that is usually present when a TV receiver is being viewed. The character of these color distortions is determined.
