Abstract

This article presents a mathematical foundation for a procedure for forming the launch pulse of a moving thermal object described by a signature consisting of a three-dimensional function of the radiation parameters—shape, frequency, and brightness. A technique is developed for calculating the pulse shape, the spectral responses of multicomponent light sources that have several extrema, and the overall directional diagram of a simulator. The signature is briefly analyzed as an amplitude-modulated optical signal.
