Abstract
Using time-dependent Hartree–Fock theory, we describe the results of calculations of dipole moments induced in xenon by 1.064-nm radiation of intensities in the range 1013–1014 W/cm2. The calculated spectrum comprises sharply defined optical harmonics to order 61. We comment on the three-dimensional properties of our calculated induced dipole moments and on the spectral background underlying these harmonics.
