Abstract
Borrelli et al. [J. Opt. Soc. Am. B 35, 1725 (2018) [CrossRef] ] applied the approach of Debye and Bueche in a discussion of light scattering in glass-ceramics. We show that this approach leads to equations that are qualitatively different from those presented by Borrelli et al. We also demonstrate that the experimental example of Rayleigh wavelength dependence of turbidity of glass-ceramic presented by Borrelli et al. seems to be not convincing.
