Abstract

We describe the design and demonstrate the operation of a single-shot autocorrelator capable of measuring independently and simultaneously the duration and the pulse front tilt (PFT) of ultrashort laser pulses. The device is highly versatile, self-calibrating, high resolution, and able to detect the presence of the PFT in unknown pulses, providing instantaneous feedback about their magnitude and signal.
