Abstract

It is shown that, under the balance between slow-loss saturation and self-phase modulation, the solid-state laser is capable of generating a chirped frequency-shifted quasi soliton. The gain saturation, negative group-velocity dispersion, or additional phase modulation stabilizes the quasi soliton.
