Abstract

The results and conclusions of the paper by Tong, et al.. [ J. Opt. Soc. Am. B 10, 356 ( 1993)] are reexamined and discussed in the context of other measurements on similar systems. In particular, the role of photon diffusion in measurements of radiative rates with emitted photon detection schemes is addressed.
