Abstract

In part I of this series [ J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 5, 1957 ( 1988)] I presented preliminaries to a general investigation, in the context of Lagrangian aberration theory, of invariant sets of aberration coefficients. From these foundations, all sets that are unconditionally or conditionally invariant under displacements of the entrance pupil are constructed here explicitly.
