Abstract

Analytical expressions are obtained that govern the amplification of initially weak field fluctuations of a pulsed plane wave propagating in an inertially nonlinear medium. The equation for the coherence function of the second order is derived in the regime of saturated field fluctuations. An asymptotic analysis of irradiance field fluctuations at great distances of propagation is given based on the solution of this equation.
