Using the beam-foil technique, radiative lifetimes have been measured for Ti
iii, iv, and v from transitions observed between
700 and 1900 Å. First experimental lifetime values have been obtained
for the
4p3P02
level in Ti iii, the
5s2S1/2 and
4d2D3/2,5/2 levels
in Ti iv and for nine levels in Ti v belonging to the
4d, 4d′, and
3d* configurations. Our results for Ti
iii and Ti iv are compared with a few theoretical values
available.

Quoted errors represent plus or minus twice the standard deviation
σ of the mean value
(σ is estimated from the sample) combined
with a 3% uncertainty in the ion velocity.
Measured from other transitions.
Replenishment ratio at the foil.
