Abstract
Duration thresholds for hue substitution stimuli of various wavelengths and colorimetric purity were determined. Results indicate an inverse relationship between duration thresholds and colorimetric purity. It was also found that short-wavelength sensitive (SWS) cones can contribute to the detection of low purity, short duration (< 5 ms) stimuli.
