Abstract

We have measured the shift of the hfs components and broadening of the hfs components of the ground-state splitting for the D1(8.943 Å) and D2(8.521 Å) cesium lines in the presence of helium, neon, and argon, under pressures not greater than 150 torr and a temperature of about 295 K. The results for this same doublet are compared with the fine-structure data of other authors.
