Abstract
Microwave-discharge experiments through beryllium chloride in a Pyrex tube in the presence of high pressure of argon (> 20 torr) yield various emission spectra, including atomic lines of Be i and Be ii, diatomic molecular spectra attributed to BeCl, BeH, and BeO, as well as a new molecular spectrum in the region 3950–4250 Å, as yet unidentified. Details of the experiments are discussed.
