Range–azimuth-coupling aberrations in pulse-scanned imaging systems

Abstract

An aberration peculiar to imaging systems that employ pulse-ranging techniques in one dimension and are conventional in the other is described. The aberration imposes limitations on the resolution achievable. Means for correcting this aberration are given.
