Abstract
During reconstruction of an image by use of a hologram recorded on a medium capable of storing only binary information, an image of the original object, consisting of N (N = 2l, l = positive integer) equally spaced point sources of equal strength, is reconstructed together with ghost images of all orders. The ghost images consist of images of portions of the object array, displaced by integral multiples of the intrasource spacing in the array, so that the total irradiance in a given image spot originates from a number of object sources other than from only the conjugate source in the object array.
