Relative Power Losses at the Mirrors of an Asymmetric, Confocal, Laser Interferometer

Abstract

The asymmetric, confocal, laser interferometer with output coupling apertures is considered. The diffraction losses at the two mirrors are shown to be equal, regardless of differences in mirror sizes or the existence of coupling apertures in one or both mirrors.
