The name emittance is always used for Concepts 3 and 10, but this name is also often used for Concept 15, Users of the term emittance are well advised to define what they mean.
In Concepts 15–18, the ending -ance is often used to refer to the measured value for a specific sample of a material, and the ending -ivity is usually used to indicate a generic property of a material.
