Gamma Radiation Insensitive Optical Glasses

Abstract

Specially developed optical glasses maintain their transparency under exposures up to 106 roentgens cobalt-60 gamma radiation and are usable at 5×108 roentgens. Ordinary optical glass colors at 104 roentgens or less and is nearly useless at 106 roentgens.
