Abstract

A reflection image reducer is described which will demagnify an infrared image to match the small sensitive area of an infrared detector. The folded optical system is compact. Spherical surfaces are used in a manner which corrects for spherical aberration. The optics are used nearly on axis to minimize off-axis aberrations.
