Abstract

Color difference calculations based on the MacAdam visual sensitivity ellipses have been found by several workers to correlate with visual observations as well as or better than do calculations based on other data. In the past, however, these calculations have been rather cumbersome so that their application has been restricted. In this paper we describe a series of charts, derived from the MacAdam ellipses, which may be used to greatly simplify and speed the calculations.
