Abstract

Synchronous timing is a key technology in EPON system. This paper firstly analyzes the current three timing mechanisms and points out the disadvantages of them. And then, it puts forward a clock automatic protection switching scheme with more efficiency to resolve the clock problem in EPON, and proves the practicability of this timing scheme by simulation and FPGA confirmation.
