Abstract

We numerically and experimentally validated the concept of transparent waveband-based optical backbone networks through a 32 × 10 Gbit/s transmission over 3600 km of TeraLight fiber including subequipped optical cross connects, taking into account network constraints on dispersion map and power equalization.
