Abstract

A systematic experimental analysis of the stationary and dynamic performance of 1.5-μm InP-based vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers with two dielectric distributed Bragg reflectors is presented. The electrical, thermal, and optical characteristics are studied as a function of the cavity length, strain in the active region and mesa capacitance.
