Abstract

We show the importance of group-delay ripple phase factor to explain the differences between the channel performances of wavelength-selective switch. To explain the simulated results, we develop an analytical enumeration model based on echo impulse response. The good agreement between simulations and analytical results confirms the relevance of the echo model.
