Abstract

Crosstalk is a fundamental task in electrooptical directional coupler-based photonic switching systems. A good design must balance the amount of hardware and the level of crosstalk. In this paper, we study the tradeoff between these two parameters in designing Banyan-type photonic switching systems based on electrooptical directional couplers. We develop a novel simulation technique that can significantly reduce the simulation time.
