Abstract
A discussion of the angular scattering expected from small bubbles in liquids of refractive indices 1.1 and 1.025 is given together with the inverse, i.e., of small spheres of the liquids in air. The similarities between the two scattering functions are compared with a view to the simulation of bubble chamber tracks using readily available materials. Fraunhofer scattering is significant on axis while larger angle scattering is geometrical. Some experimental verification of the scattering functions is also reported.
