Abstract

The reflectance of an absorbing medium for incident light of arbitrary polarization can exhibit two extrema at angles of incidence ϕmax and ϕmin. The behavior of iso-ϕmax and iso-ϕmin contours in the complex plane of a dielectric constant for various incident polarizations is analyzed.
