Abstract

To study space motions of prominences we have constructed a special instrument at Ondrejov Observatory. Basically, it represents a combination of coronagraph and spectrograph in which the image of the prominence and its spectrum in the region of the are recorded simultaneously on the same film. The purpose of the instrument is to study the dynamics of prominences and the configuration of magnetic fields in coronal space as inferred from spatial prominence motions.
