Tuning sensitivity of dye laser birefringent filters

Abstract

An analysis of the angle between the optical axis and the optical surface of a birefringent filter used in the cw dye laser has been made. It shows that the tuning sensitivity of the filter reaches its maximum when the angle is ~30–35°.
