Abstract

A technique which records permanent images is presented. This image is encoded into three interference filters representing the three subtractive primaries and one neutral density layer. Unlike current photographic dyes the dielectric filters will not absorb light and, therefore, will not suffer from the fading problems that are inherent in photographic slides.
