Abstract

A vidicon detector has been interfaced to a laboratory minicomputer which provides the scan control and the data accumulation routines. A detailed characterization of the vidicon's response to various light levels of continuous and pulsed illumination is described, and a comparison of different methods aimed at eliminating lag is presented.
