Design and optimization technique for three-mirror telescopes

Abstract

A high performance design and optimization technique for three-mirror telescopes, based on the generation of rigorously aplanatic configurations, has been developed. The theory and five sample designs are presented. The work was done using an HP-System 35 desk-top computer.
