G. Anders and E. Ganz, "Metameric white samples for testing the relative uv content of light sources and of natural daylight," Appl. Opt. 18, 1067-1072 (1979)
The relative uv content of irradiation influences the color of fluorescent samples. A method is developed for testing light sources and natural daylight with visual and instrumental assessment using a set of white metameric pairs. Properties of the samples and applications of the method are shown.

i designates the interpolated value of an inserted hypothetical sample Fi metameric with sample B. b* values determined with Hunterlab, Gardner, and Diano-Hardy instruments are approximately corrected for the perfect diffuser as reference (measurements by several colleagues in Greensboro, N.C. and in Basle).
