Technique for absolute definition of spherical surface errors: its use in interferogram analysis

Abstract

A technique for defining the absolute surface errors of a spherical surface is described. This technique does not require explicitly finding the best-fitting sphere, and it is useful in the interferometric evaluation of absolute surface errors.
