Abstract

The specific points raised here augment the full paper on this same subject by Measures [ Appl. Opt. 13, 1121 ( 1974)]. In support of the feasibility of such a laser, an electrochemiluminescent system with ϕecl ∼0.2 is cited from the literature (vs ϕecl ∼ 1.4 × 10−2); and in relation to the feasibility calculations, the incompleteness of the Feldberg model is noted. Various other topics are also discussed.
