Ageing of S-10 Photocathodes

Abstract

The relative spectral sensitivity distributions of ten vacuum photodiodes with S-10 (Ag-Bi-O-Cs) photo-cathodes have been repeatedly measured over a period of up to 3 years. The results indicate that these photocathodes change considerably during the first 3 years of their life. The effect of these changes in photometric and colorimetric measurements is discussed.
