Abstract

Although an optical shop is seldom required to polish plastic, we recently polished several thousand pieces of Plexiglas, each 9 mm square × 61 cm long. The rods were held in wedges like type in a print shop. Grinding to size was accomplished on a vertical spindle surface grinder.
